ANNUAL SPORTS AND CULTURAL FEST 2023

DAY - 2 (14-12-2023)


The Second-Day of the Sports and Cultural Fest of the Khaja Bandanawaz University started with Inter-faculty matches among the students.


The faculties were divided into four teams:

·         Team A-Faculty of Medical Sciences (FOMS)

·         Team B-Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FOET)

·         Team C- Faculty of Sciences (FOS)

·         Team D- Faculty of Faculty of Languages, Arts Humanities, Sciences, Social Sciences, Law, Commerce, and Education (FOLAHSSLCE)

Events of the day:

  Outdoor Games:

1.      Cricket

2.      Running (100 mtrs)

3.      Relay (400 mtrs)

      Indoor Games:

1.      Carrom (Girls &Boys)

2.      Chess (Girls &  Boys)

3.      Table-Tennis (Girls & Boys)

 

Amid loud cheering and applause, the cricket match was started at 11:15 a.m. at Sports Ground at KBNU Campus between Team A and Team D. Team A emerged as a winner by seven wickets.


The next match was played between Team B and Team C in which Team B has won with proud victory by eight wickets.


The final match will be played between Team A and Team B on 20.12.2023.




Running (100mtrs) and Relay (400mtrs) were also held at Sports Ground, KBNU Campus at 5:00 p.m. Team B was the winner among the boys and Team C was the winner among the girls in running. Team B was the runner-up among boys and Team A among girls.

Team A was the winner among the boys and Team B was the winner among the girls in relay whereas Team B was the runner up among the boys and Team A was the runner-up among girsl.



Apart from outdoor games, indoor games were also organized in which many students took active participation. Carrom, Chess and Table Tennis were held at the Examination Hall at the Department of Medical Sciences at 3:00 p.m. All the participants showcased great skills and sportsmanship spirits. All the matches were judged by four judges from various faculties.

Carrom: The total number of participants (boys) were thirty-two. Total number of participant (girls) were also thirty-two. The event was judged by Dr Namrata Raut (FOSS), Dr Tilak Gasti (FOS), and Dr Afra Taqdees (FOMS).


Team A emerged as the winner and Team D was the runner-up among girls.

Team D emerged as the winner and Team A was the runner-up among boys.



Chess: The total number of participants (boys) were twenty-six. Total number of participant (girls) were sixteen. The event was judged by Dr Namrata Raut (FOSS), Dr Badrinath Kulkarni (FOS), and Dr Arfa Taqdees (FOMS). The winner of chess (girls) was Team D (FOLAS) and the runner up was Team B. The winner of chess (boys) was Team A and the runner up was also Team A.



Table Tennis: The total number of participants (boys) were twelve. Total number of participant (girls) were eight. The event was judged by Dr. Shaziya Farheen (FOS), Dr. Maimuna Begum Saradgi (FOL), Dr. Vinod Kumar Patil (FOS), Dr. Mohd. Mushtaq (FOMS) and Dr. Shahbaz Arshad (FOL). Team Aemerged as the winner and runner-up among girlsand boys.



The evening ended on a high note with look of accomplishment and pride on the faces of the students.
