On 19th July 2024 the fourth day of the induction program for first-year students of various undergraduate courses including B.A, B.Com, and B.Sc. was successfully completed to further help the students adjust with the new environment, embrace the culture of the institution, strengthen bonds between each other and with the faculty members. Events of the day included a special talk, game activities and campus visit.
Program Highlights
1. Talent search: The program was started with a talent search session where new students were encouraged to come forward and share their talents such as singing, poetry, storytelling etc. This activity boosted morale and provided a stage for the students to showcase their creativity.
2. Special talk on Life Saving Skills : Dr Vinod Uploankar, Professor, department of pediatrics, Faculty of Medical Sciences, KBNU, delivered a special talk on Life Saving Skills — CPR & BLS. The talk was interactive and expanded students' knowledge, providing them with important practical information. The session was facilitated by Dr. Shaikh Tabassum Hameed, Assistant Professor of Commerce and Management.
3. Game Activities: Led by Dr. Jyothi Hiremath, Assistant Professor of Food & Nutrition Department and Ms. Rabia, Assistant Professor of Psychology Department, the students had an enthusiastic session of games, guided by their seniors. This ensured increase in familiarity with each other and boosted confidence of the students as well as provided relaxation and fun.
4. Campus Visit: Dr. Shazia Farheen, Assistant Professor of Physics department, Mr. Abdul Razak, Assistant Professor of Commerce and Management and Dr. Deshmukh Afshan Begum of Hindi department led the students on a campus visit. This aimed at familiarising the students with the university landmarks and furthering their knowledge about their new learning environment.
