Field Visit to Milli School of Integrated Farming: A Hands-on Learning Experience for Zoology Students
On September 30, 2024, the Department of Zoology, Faculty of Sciences, organized a field visit to the Milli School of Integrated Farming. This excursion provided students with a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience and insight into the various aspects of integrated farming.
During the visit, students were exposed to diverse farming practices, including Black Soldier Fly Farming, both at the larval and adult stages. They also gained knowledge about Hydrophonic Fooder Farming and Biofloc Fish Farming, which showcased the efficient use of resources and innovative techniques in sustainable agriculture.
The visit was successful in sparking an interest among students about organic farming, its benefits, and its potential to contribute to a more environmentally friendly food system.
