Guest Lecture on “Essentials of Hospital Infection Control” and HIC manual release

Guest Lecture on “Essentials of Hospital Infection Control” and HIC manual release was organized by Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medical Sciences KBN University in Lecture Hall, 3rd floor, KBNTGH on 21/02/25 at 11 am to 1 pm. About 150 students and faculty registered for the event.


The event was hosted by Dr Syeda Firdaus Nusheen and Dr Masrath Jahan, PG students from Department of Microbiology, KBNU - FOMS.


Program started  with Qirat . This was followed by Welcome Speech for dignitaries and invitees by  Dr S.B. Siddesh, Professor and HOD, Department of Microbiology  


Dr Arshiya Tazeen, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology, KBNU - FOMS introduced the guest speaker Dr M.V. Arcy Billoria


This was followed by lecture by the eminent speaker Dr Arcy Billoria. It was an interactive discussion on essential of Hospital Infection Control. Mam also shared her valuable experiences with the audience and discussed the importance of HIC in prevention of Health care associated infections. She also highlighted the basic mistakes done by health care workers while following HIC guidelines


This was followed by the felicitation of guests of honor

HIC manual was released by all the dignitaries.

Dr Siddling Chengty addressed the gathering about importance of HIC and importance of following the HIC manual


Prof Ali Raza Moosvi addressed the gathering about importance of developing standard manuals in various departments of  KBNU and following standard protocol


The program ended with vote of thanks by Dr Bilal Ahmad Mir, Professor Dept of Microbiology, KBNU – FOMS
