A short-term course on Gender Sensitization was held at Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad from 03 October to 09 October 2024. The UGC-Maulana Azad National Urdu University Mass Media and Translation Training Centre (UGC-MMTTC), MANUU, Hyderabad, successfully conducted the event between 10:00 am and 5:15 pm daily. This training aimed to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of gender sensitization among participants.
Main objective of the course was to sensitize participants on the gender concept and issues, to promote gender equality and inclusivity and to equip participants with skills for effective communication and conflict resolution. The course was outlined very systematically.

The Programme fostered a sense of community and cultural exchange among faculty members from various disciplines.
The speakers also shed light on Sati system, importance of gender equality and male-female ratio in India and also explored the understanding of patriarchy and gender based violence.
