“TechAnza-2k25” CSE - Educational Trip

Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Khaja Bandanawaz University Kalaburagi has organized five days educational trip from Gulbarga to Mysore, Bandipur Forest, and Ooty for the students of B.E 8th Semester on 06-01-2025 to 10-01-2025. The tour comprised 46  students accompanied by Head of the department Dr Sameena Banu ,Coordinators Dr Raafiya Gulmeher & Dr Vinay Warad  along with 08 Faculty members. The trip was leaded by Mr.Majid, Mr.Ajmal, Mr.Tabrez, Miss Ruqayya Rafa, Miss Sheeba being the students coordinator.

Objectives:

 

  1. Explore historical and cultural landmarks in Mysore

  2. Industrial Exposure: Visiting a software company provides students with hands-on experience and exposure to the latest technologies and industry trends.

  3. Understand conservation efforts at Bandipur Forest (wildlife safari, nature walks)

  4. Study ecology and biodiversity in Ooty

  5. Develop teamwork and leadership skills through group activities

 

An educational trip was organized for students from Gulbarga, offering them a chance to explore the cultural heritage and natural beauty of Mysore, Bandipur Forest, and Ooty. One day before the trip Dean FoET Dr S.K.Azam address the students & staff of the trip & explain  regarding rules & regulations to be followed during trip. The meeting was conducted in CSE Department.


Day 1 (06-01-2025): Journey from Gulbarga to Mysore

The trip began with an exciting train journey from Gulbarga to Mysore. The students thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie and scenic views during the journey, which set the tone for the adventure ahead.


The students filled the train with laughter and excitement as they enjoyed playing games during the journey. From card games to word puzzles, the camaraderie was infectious, drawing in even the quieter ones. Some formed teams for guessing games, while others played charades, their animated gestures sparking joy across the compartments. The rhythmic clatter of the train tracks became the perfect backdrop to their cheerful chatter and playful banter, making the journey as memorable as the destination itself.


Day 02(07-01-2025):Reached & Explored Mysore

Upon arrival in Mysore, the group checked into the Rio Meridian Hotel, which was nothing short of fabulous. The students were delighted by the hotel’s exceptional service, and the breakfast the next morning was a culinary treat.


Post lunch, the group began their day with a visit to the INFOPINE Company, a hub of technological innovation and cutting-edge solutions. As they entered the sleek, modern facility, they were welcomed warmly by the company’s representatives, who shared insights into the latest advancements in the tech world. The students attended an engaging presentation that highlighted the company's pioneering projects in artificial intelligence, data analytics, and software development. Interactive Q&A sessions allowed them to delve deeper into real-world applications and understand the dynamic challenges faced in the industry. The visit provided an invaluable glimpse into how technology shapes the future, inspiring many to dream of their own innovations.


The next stop was the KSR Dam- Brindavan Garden, renowned for its sprawling greenery and iconic fountain shows. The students were mesmerized by the synchronized fountain dance, which was a visual and auditory treat. This visit beautifully concluded the day in Mysore.


Day 3(08-01-2025): Mysore to Bandipur and Ooty Exploration

The second day commenced with a short yet captivating road trip from Mysore to Bandipur Forest. The students were thrilled to explore the wildlife sanctuary, spotting diverse animals and experiencing nature at its best. The guided tour through the forest was an informative and adventurous experience.


Following the forest exploration, the group proceeded to Ooty. After a refreshing meal, the students visited the Tea Factory and Chocolate Factory, where they learned about the processes behind tea and chocolate production. The hands-on experience and samples were a highlight of the trip.


As the day progressed, the students were treated to a breathtaking sunset in Ooty, a moment of pure serenity. The day ended with a stay at a cozy hotel where the group enjoyed a lively bonfire night, sharing stories and reflecting on the day's adventures.


Day 3(09/01/2025): Discovering Ooty's Natural Beauty

The final day began with a visit to the Doddabetta Point, the highest peak in the Nilgiris. The panoramic view of the lush green valley’s left the students awestruck.


This was followed by a visit to the Botanical Garden, a treasure trove of exotic flowers and plants. The vibrant colors and variety of flora were both educational and captivating.


The last destination of the trip was the Pykara Waterfalls, where the students were spellbound by the mesmerizing cascades. The beauty of the waterfalls, combined with the surrounding natural landscapes, provided the perfect conclusion to the trip.


Departure Day(10/01/2025):From Ooty-Mysore to Gulbarga

After arriving safely to Gulbarga on 11/01/2025 ,the parents and guardians of all the students came to Gulbarga Railway station to receive their wards.


Conclusion

The educational trip from Gulbarga to Mysore, Bandipur, and Ooty was a resounding success. The students gained valuable insights from the visits to INFOPINE, the Tea Factory, and the Chocolate Factory while enjoying the cultural and natural wonders of Mysore and Ooty. The camaraderie, coupled with the stunning landscapes and memorable experiences, made this trip an unforgettable journey for all participants.


Later all the students planned a surprise treat for celebrating the success of the educational trip “TechAnaza 2k25” on 13/01/2025 at CSE dept along with Dean Dr SK Azam ,Head CSE Dept and all faculty members.
