A two-day International Conference began on the 6th of March at 10 AM at KBN University Auditorium. The conference began with an invocation from the Holy book the Qur’an followed by the watering of a plant by the Chief Guest Prof. Dayanand Agsar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi, Prof. Ali Raza Moosvi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, of Khaja Bandanawaz University, Prof. Rukhsar Fatima, Registrar, Khaja Bandanawaz University and Prof. Nishat Arif Hussaini, Dean, Faculty of Languages, Arts Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Education, Law and Commerce.
Dr. Syed Abrar welcomed the participants and guests and also talked about the conference’s objectives.
Addressing the audience, Prof. Ali Raza Moosvi, Vice Chancellor, KBN University, emphasized the use of technology and bringing different disciplines together for human progress. He further said that “we cannot confine our knowledge to only one discipline, we have to think in terms of multidisciplinarity. He said, “This conference is a step further in the way of research and academic progress of KBNU”. Prof. Rukhsar Fatima and Prof. Nishat Arif Hussaini also addressed the audience and put stress on multidisciplinary research and innovation and the continuous efforts made by these Faculties in bridging Disciplines.
The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Dayanand Agsar, Vice Chancellor, Gulbarga University, on “Multidisciplinary Research: Prospects and Challenges. During his address, he stressed the collaboration among different fields of knowledge to solve human problems. He also expressed his expert opinion on how technology is being used in different fields of research to uplift mankind from the challenges they face especially in the field of agriculture. He further said that the humane angle of technology can only positively help human beings.
The first session of the conference started with a special lecture by Ms. Preeti Mathur, an independent consultant in Minnesota, US. She talked on the topic “Role of Communication in Bridging Cultures for Global Impact. The session was chaired by Dr. Jawed Akhter, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Mass Communication and Journalism, KBN University. The crux of the session was that every individual in society should work individually to bridge the gaps in society that will automatically bring cultures and people together. After the first lecture, technical sessions began where participants from different disciplines presented oral presentations. There were also poster presentations from participants of different academic backgrounds.
The next session began with a lecture on “Artificial Intelligence and the Emerging Real-Time Applications by Dr. Priya Shah Hasan, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Physics, Maulana Azad Urdu University, Hyderabad. After that, Prof. Syed Najmul Hasab, Dept. of Mathematics, Maulana Azad Urdu University took the stage and delivered his talk on “Real World Application of Cryptography,” followed by another talk on “Sustainable Business Models & Environmental Economics”. The next talk was from the field of literature. Dr Rachel Joseph, Faculty at the English University of Technology & Applied Science, Sultanate of Oman, delivered her lecture on “Cultural Exchange & and Its Impact on Literature”. After the 5 invited Lectures in day one, several delegates presented their research papers from Languages, Arts Humanities & Social Science.
