A two days National Level Workshop was organized by Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Khaja Bandanawaz University on 8th and 9th May 2023 with an aim to empower participants with two emerging technologies that is Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things.
The inaugural session was chaired by the Chief Guest Dr. Ruksar Fatima, Incharge Registrar, Khaja Bandanawaz University, Chairperson Dr. S. Kamal Mohd Azam, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Khaja Bandanawaz University, Resource Persons Dr. Layak Ali,, Asst Prof, Dept E &CE, CUK, Dr. G. Vinoda Reddy, (i/c) HOD CSE, (AI & ML), CMR Technical Campus, Hyd. and Convener Dr. Sameena Banu, HOD (CSE), Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Khaja Bandanawaz University.
The workshop was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Ruksar Fatima, Incharge Registrar, Khaja Bandanawaz University.
Session 1 was presented by Dr. Layak Ali,, Asst Prof, Dept E & CE, CUK. He explained some of the basic concepts and features of IOT and demonstrated some very useful and simple experiments on IOT using Arduino platform and Proteues software. The session was very interactive and the students were very enthusiastic to know about many live projects using IOT. The hands-on training session helped the students to get new ideas for developing projects using IOT in Health care systems, Transportation systems, Education and Agriculture system.
Second day of the workshop was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Ali Raza Moosvi, Vice-Chancellor, Khaja Bandanawaz University. Second session was presented by Dr. G. Vinoda Reddy, (i/c) HOD CSE, (AI & ML), CMR Technical Campus, Hyd. She explained all the concepts of Artificial Intelligence and how AI and IOT can generate huge number of jobs opportunities in future. The hands-on training session helped the students to learn about python programming and Google co-lab.
The workshop officially came to an end with the valedictory function and distribution of certificates to the participants.
