Faculty of Languages, observed World Translation Day on 30th September 2024 to highlight the crucial role of translation in bridging cultural gaps. This day is celebrated globally to recognize the efforts of translators who facilitate communication across linguistic and cultural divides
The event was graced by Prof. Nishat Arif Hussaini, Dean Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Languages, Social Science, Sciences, Education, Law & Commerce. In her speech, sheexplores the ways in which translators are not only linguistic experts but also cultural mediators who navigate and interpret the nuances of different cultures.
Special Talk on the theme of the World Translation Day was delivered by the eminent professors from the Faculty of Languages in multiple languages to celebrate the core essence of the event.
Professors remarked that "translation is more than just a linguistic process; it is a gateway to cultural empathy, understanding, and collaboration across borders."
