Field-based Learning:

1. To provide students with firsthand exposure to various ecosystems, habitats, and species in their natural environment, enhancing their understanding beyond textbook knowledge.

2. To understand the role of museums in the preservation and documentation of biodiversity

“Journey Beyond the Classroom”

The Department of Zoology organized a 3-day study tour from 22-24 April 2025.

Field visits are an integral component of zoological education. They provide hands-on training and opportunities for students to observe, understand, and appreciate animal life in its natural habitat, bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world application.

Enhances skills in species identification, data collection, field note-taking, photography, and report writing.

Museums are vital in zoological education by offering a hands-on learning experience. Through museology, students gain a broader understanding of the importance of biodiversity conservation and the scientific value of specimen documentation.

The main Goal of the  Study tour is not only to deepen scientific understanding but also to cultivate respect and curiosity for the living world, making learning more meaningful, engaging, and impactful.
